Here’s a special opportunity: hunt with J & J HUNTING on the Miller Ranch in western Oklahoma for the first four days of 2010’s rifle season, with lodging, meals, orientation and field transport… and an opportunity to be one of the hunters who might take a 170+ whitetail!  The hunt and a whitetail buck of any size are included--& a shoulder mount by Jim Feinberg of 17 Ranch Taxidermy!

Type of Hunt: One hunter for 4 Days/5 Nights for one whitetail buck

Where: Western Oklahoma, 16 miles from Arnett

Date(s) of Trip: Oklahoma’s opening days of the 2010 whitetail deer rifle season

Value: US $2,900

Description: Arrive on the afternoon before opening day of Oklahoma’s 2010 rifle whitetail deer season. Ranch personnel will drive you around and orient you with the ranch.  The next morning (and every day for up to four days, if you need that much time), ranch personnel will transport you either to one of their stands or to a place where you may hunt from your own pop-up blind. The ranch has a barn in which to hang deer… with hot and cold running water.

You’ll be one of up to 10 hunters (usually closer to six) sharing bunkhouse accommodations.
All noon and evening meals will be provided.  Breakfast is on your own…the bunkhouse has all utilities, including a microwave… fix your own breakfast there before ranch personnel take you to the field.  Bring your own drinks; the ranch will furnish tea or soft drinks with the meals but not in the field.  No alcohol is to be consumed until you have unloaded your gun and are through for the day.  You may stay for up to five nights, including the night prior to the opening day of the season and the night of your fourth and last day of hunting.

Hunters normally have 100% opportunity for a whitetail buck.  The ranch has many bucks in the 120/140-class; 150-class bucks are regularly taken; 160-class bucks are not rare; four 170-class bucks have been taken in the last eight years.  It is not uncommon for bucks taken on the ranch to have some non-typical features.

Thanks also, Jim Feinberg--17 Ranch Taxidermy in Guthrie!
