HICKORY RIDGE RANCH near Lamar, Oklahoma, includes 2,000 very wild acres under high fence and
another 1,350 acres outside the fence, along the South Canadian River. The ranch is professionally
managed for whitetail bucks, and it has deer scoring over 250”. Owner Denver McCormick has made it
possible to offer this very special youth hunt…for a big whitetail buck! The lucky young hunter may bring

Description: The youth hunter and his/her family are invited to arrive on the evening before the
Oklahoma “Youth Deer Gun (Antlered)” season (usually mid-October). The young hunter will receive a
fully-guided hunt, including any whitetail buck up to 140” (hunting may take place inside and/or outside
the high-fenced area, as the guide directs). Hunting is conducted from first-class “Ranch King” blinds
located near food plots, feeders, or other prime spots. The young hunter and his family will enjoy the full
hospitality of the ranch (lodging, meals, and trail-riding on ATVs) for the duration of their stay. Parents
and siblings may also hunt at prevailing rates.
The young hunter is expected to have opportunity at a 140-class buck!
This exciting adventure will be captured in HD video and custom edited by award winning videographer
and video editor Bo Newsom. Bo Newsom has produced, edited and filmed for dozens of national, top
rated outdoor television programs including Mossy Oaks Hunting The Country, Bass Pro Shops Outdoor
World Hunting TV and Paul Newsom's Great Outdoors. Bo is a former Sr. Television producer for
Cabela's TV, The World's Foremost Outfitter. Newsom's work has aired on The Outdoor Channel, V.S.,
ESPN, National Geographic Channel, Pursuit Channel, The Sportsman's Channel and Wild TV in
Canada. This is one hunt that will be enjoyed year after year, generation after generation!
As an added bonus taxidermy work for a shoulder mount of the buck will be included.
The young hunter must have passed the Oklahoma hunter safety training program and be properly
licensed to hunt deer in the “Youth Deer Gun (Antlered)” season before arriving at the ranch. The only
other expense not included is a gratuity for the guide.
Parents and siblings may relax and enjoy the accommodations, or ride ATVs.
On a controlled basis, as advised by the guide, family members may observe the youth’s hunt. Family
members may also enjoy the great hunting themselves, at current rates.
